Thursday: Philip Gefter on Robert Frank at SF Camerawork

This sounds like a great event: SF Camerawork is hosting a lecture and booksigning with Philip Gefter on Thursday.

Gefter just published his book “Photography After Frank” which is a collection of essays on photography using Robert Frank’s “The Americans” as a starting point. I just picked up the book so I can’t comment on it, but it has chapters on Joel Sternfeld, Beate Gütschow, and Stephen Shore among others. I’m excited about this lecture.
