My first book “This Is Not My Sky” is now available

I’m happy to announce the availability of my first book, This Is Not My Sky. The book can be purchased from the new Books section of my website.

This book combines letterpress printed text using hand set lead type and inkjet printed photographs. The books are printed and hand bound by me.

This project has required a surprisingly large amount of effort but has been intensely rewarding. Since I photograph digitally, most of my workflow takes place in the computer. Making a book is a very physical process and I enjoy the craft aspect of it.

To publish this book, I started a publishing company called Extant Books. For the time being, the publications of Extant Books will be limited to my own titles.

My head is filled with ideas for other projects and I can’t wait to get started on the next book.
